Health Education Research

Research in Health Science Education is gaining momentum at the Faculty of Health Sciences. A number of lecturers from the faculty received funding from the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning funds made available by the Vice-Rector Teaching and Learning and are actively doing research on teaching and learning within the health science higher education environment.

Research outputs in the form of conference presentations and publications about health science education have increased. Lecturers are further supported in innovative teaching through workshops and individual consultations about health science education. The faculty is also in the planning process of implementing Inter-professional Education (IPE) as part of students’ health professions training.
