The IPW is the service delivery arm of the School for Psychosocial Behavioural Sciences within the Faculty of Health Sciences at North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus. Our range of therapeutic services include:

  • Clinical and counselling psychology
  • Preventative and performance services
  • Standard psychometrics and neuropsychological assessments
  • Care2Kids Specialist children’s services incorporating Early Communication Intervention and Speech-language therapy
  • Psycho-Legal services

Our outpatient services are performed by registered clinical or counselling psychologists, with some sessions referred to the supervised intern psychologists.  Services performed by intern psychologists are under the direct supervision of a qualified and experienced IPW staff member. The IPW is a Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) accredited internship training facility. Speech-language therapy and Early Communication Interventions are performed by a registered speech-language therapist and audiologist.
