WHY IS THE PROGRAMME NEEDED?

  • Poor access to healthcare services is predominantly reported in the African developing countries.
  • Negative attitude towards women and adolescence seeking Choice of Termination of Pregnancy
  • Women opting for illegal abortions and being admitted with complications
  • Home deliveries, late ante natal  booking,  post-natal complications
  • Poor maternal and newborn outcomes in the primary health facilities
  • High defaulter rate of ARVs for people leaving with HIV/AIDS & TB

 

RESEARCH OBJECTIVES

  • Develop guidelines to improve access to CTOP services of women and adolescence in the rural health facilities
  • To develop strategies to improve access to  ARVs for people living with HIV/AIDS& TB in rural communities.
  • To develop conceptual framework to strengthen access to maternal healthcare services.
