Presence Community Engagement

Being involved in the community is important, especially when it comes to healthcare. That's why we've been practicing presence with healthcare professionals through the DREAM guideline workshop at various public and private hospitals. Additionally, we've been engaging with a public hospital that provides healthcare to people with intellectual disability, through our Taking HANDS project. It's been a rewarding experience, and we are grateful for the opportunity to make a difference.

DREAM Guideline workshops to facilitate the practice of presence in healthcare

DREAM workshop at Presence Program

Our workshops focus on self-care and practicing presence through the DREAM guideline, and we have received positive feedback from healthcare professionals who have attended our workshops. We would be happy to discuss the details of a workshop for your team and how we can help create a positive atmosphere in your healthcare team. For more information on the DREAM workshops, visit our Resources section.

TakingHANDS

TakingHANDS at Presence

We have a multidisciplinary team of Presence team members and staff who follow a presence approach at a public hospital for persons with intellectual disabilities. This project has been fulfilling for us as we all take hands and journey with both the staff and people with intellectual disabilities. We have seen the staff experience a renewed passion for their profession, and the patients receive care in an involved manner.
