The aim of this study is to develop an integrated ARV programme for pregnant women living with HIV/AIDS to improve GDM outcomes among pregnant women living with HIV/AIDS
DESIGN
Implementation research study, which draws on multi-methods study design (Qualitative Exploratory Design + Quantitative Descriptive Design) to address the research question posed.
Focus on both the process and the results of the implementation.

Objectives
- To systematically search literature for effective programmes to support women living with HIV/AIDS and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus
- To explore and describe the risk factors of GDM among pregnant women living with HIV/AIDS in SA.
- To explore and describe the experiences of pregnant women diagnosed with GDM in the context of HIV.
- To develop and validate an integrated ARV Programme to improve GDM outcomes among pregnant women living with HIV/AIDS.
