9th National Autism Symposium

"

The National Autism Symposium is a unique, annual event established as a platform for healthcare professionals, educators, social workers, autistic adults, and parents to share evidence-based and practice-based evidence on autism and co-occurring disorders and conditions. The event also serves as a networking opportunity to foster change at clinical, family, and community levels in South Africa.

Join us for a one-day in-person event and additional virtual engagements at our annual Autism Symposium.  We will celebrate possibilities by exploring innovative approaches and uniting diverse perspectives in autism support and research. The collaborative event is currently the only event of its kind in the country.

Registration is now open

The event will be a one-day in-person event and a variety of online webinars to choose from.

The target audience is Researchers, Healthcare clinicians, Parents, Educators, Social workers, Autistic adults and anyone with an interest in Autism. We also welcome abstracts from neurodiverse adults, including autistic adults and persons with other neurodevelopmental conditions.

We encourage interactive and collaborative submissions focusing on lively discussions and practical applications. In addition, we are seeking compassionate approaches to autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, and/or child and adolescent mental health that have an empirical evidence base.
