Background
Dr. Theunis Cloete is a senior lecturer at the North-West University (NWU), South Africa. He is a registered pharmacists and has obtained his MSc and PhD in pharmaceutical chemistry.
His main research focus is the identification and development of antimicrobial drugs. He is an expert in synthetic organic chemistry, computer aided drug design (CADD) and in vitro microbiological assays. He has also some experience in animal studies as well as clinical dug trails. With regards to teaching & learning he is involved with lecturing both second- and fourth-year modules (pre-graduate) and also supervising multiple MSc and PhD students (post-graduate).
