Hypertension in Africa Research Team (HART), Physiology

Prof Yolandi Breet is an Associate Professor of Physiology and researcher in the field of hypertension. Her specific interests include large artery stiffness and early vascular aging. She holds a Y-rating from the National Research Foundation (NRF) and is also a member of the Association for Research into Arterial Structure and Physiology (ARTERY). She is the principal investigator of the Attended and Unattended Blood Pressure in Africans (AvU BP) study. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Southern African Hypertension Society (SAHS) and also serves as Associate Editor for the Artery Research journal.
