BPharm, MScPharm, PCDT Pharmacist
I obtained the degrees BPharm & MScPharm(cum laude) at the PU for CHE (now NWU). I completed my academic internship and started my career in manufacturing as part of the research team developing and patenting a “continuous-flow-autoclave” in the manufacturing of sterile dosage forms. I was the owner of a community pharmacy and worked as locum pharmacist (also present) and full-time pharmacist. I was a Pharmacy Manager, Tutor, and Responsible Pharmacist at a private hospital group until appointed senior lecturer at the School for Pharmacy at the NWU. I lecturer the module Management in the pharmacy practice and is part of the module Pharmaceutical Research. I am a member of the Medicine Usage in South Africa (MUSA) research entity, reviewing research protocols, supervising and co-supervising post-graduate students. I am a moderator for the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) for the examinations of Pharmacy Support Personnel.
