Farmakologie

De Wet Wolmarans joined the NWU in 2007, beginning his academic career as pharmacist and behavioural neuroscientist.  He obtained his Ph.D. in 2016 (promotors: Brian Harvey and Linda Brand).  He teaches pharmacology as part of the B.Pharm. curriculum at the NWU.  His research involves studies of behavioural rigidity in animal models with a focus on obsessive-compulsive and related disorders.  De Wet was an elected councillor of the SAPC for two terms, where, among others, he served as the chairperson of the Committee of Informal Inquiry.  He also acts as a pharmaco-legal expert in matters related to malpractice and professional negligence.
