Background
Johanita Burger obtained a Ph.D. in Pharmacy Practice in 2012 at North-West University (NWU). She is a professor of Pharmacy Practice at the School of Pharmacy at NWU, where she leads the MPharm in Pharmacy Practice with Pharmacovigilance and Pharmacoepidemiology programme within the research focus area Medicine Usage in South Africa (MUSA). She currently serves as a Southern African regional co-lead for the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology. She is a C3-rated NRF researcher and registered pharmacist.
