What is a short course? A short course or short learning program is training that is presented over a shorter period of time, which may be between one day and 10 months. This type of program usually leads to an attendance or competency certificate and does NOT lead to any additional qualification/registration with the SANC. The aim of short courses is to provide opportunities for continuous professional development of health care professionals.
The following short courses are presented by the NWU School of Nursing:
- Short Course in Ophthalmic Nursing
- Short Course on Integrated Management of Childhood Illness
- Short Course on Primary Clinical Care (PC) 101
