Welcome to the School of Psychosocial Health. The School comprises of two subject groups, Social Work and Psychology. Undergraduate teaching involves a wide variety of programs in Psychology and a professional 4 year degree in Social Work. Postgraduate programs in Social Work involve MSW qualifications in Forensic Practice, Child Protection and Play Therapy. Students can apply for selection towards post graduate qualifications in Psychology including a BA/BSc Honors in Psychology or MA/MSc in Clinical, Counselling or Research Psychology. Masters and PhD programs in both Social Work and Psychology are supported by an active research culture and commitment to community service. We strive to teach well-rounded, professional students who can contribute towards the psychosocial health of South Africans through research, clinical practice and service.
